I am a Psychotherapist who works with adults one to one. I offer a welcoming, non judgemental space to talk and think about issues that may be troubling you. Our work together might include looking at what is happening in your life right now as well as trying to understand how your past experiences inform your current relationships and predicaments and how you feel about yourself.
I will often use my experience of you as a therapist in the ‘here and now’ to allow us to understand what goes on for you in other relationships with friends, family or partners.
I believe that it is the quality of the relationship that you make with your therapist which lies at the heart of the therapeutic endeavour and I strive to be open, honest, supportive, yet gently challenging when necessary.
I see therapy as a serious matter which can stir up painful and difficult feelings. We all resist change even when we desire it. However it can also be an enjoyable and creative experience not without playfulness and humour.
The work is always confidential and respectful.

At an initial consultation we will meet to talk about what is troubling you and to see if therapy and I as a therapist, might be right for you .
I see people for a minimum of one session weekly at the same time each week. I tend to see therapy as an open ended endeavour where we discuss how things are going and collaboratively decide when it will end.
However I do offer Time Limited or Solution Focussed Therapy if it is appropriate
Counselling and Psychotherapy with Robert are offered at our clinic in Faversham, Kent.
