I offer a warm, non judgemental approach and a choice of short or long term therapy to fit the needs of each individual client.

My original training in Humanistic theory is still at the core of my work, and my approach is of an Integrative nature which means I draw on different theories and techniques that best fit the needs of each client. I believe that what is most important is the relationship between client and therapist, and it is fundamental to establish a good working alliance. I further believe that the client knows where their problems lie, and I see my role as facilitating their journey by helping them achieve their goals using my knowledge of theory and experience.

I work in a pragmatic manner looking at facts, cause and effect. I find this to be a very effective way of practicing, particularly as many clients want to understand why they are the way they are, or behave the way they do. This pragmatism is tempered with kindness and empathy; I never forget that the story being told to me is very personal to my client.

I am an experienced therapist working with a variety of issues including:

Anxiety, Abuse, Bereavement, Child Related Issues, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Depression, Eating disorders, Loss, Personal Development

Relationship Problems (personal and work related), Self Esteem, Stress, Trauma related difficulties, Women’s Issues.

I am a registered, accredited member of the BACP and a registered member of the NCH and I abide by their code of ethics. I offer short and long term counselling.
