What is Counselling?

Counselling is a special relationship that gives you the opportunity to talk about areas of your life that are concerning you. Counselling is a confidential relationship that is supportive and non judgmental, where you can feel accepted for who you are. Exploring and talking through your issues can help you become more self aware of yourself and discover the inner resources that you have. It can help you gain a fresh perspective on life. Through your journey counselling can help you move towards a more fulfilling and happy life.

Counselling is not about giving advice but about  supporting you to find your own answers. At our clinic in Abbey Place Faversham our therapists offer counselling and psychotherapy help for individuals and couples. One of our therapists Melanie Duffy specialises in relationship / couples counselling as well as counselling for sexual issues and sex addiction. We also have male and female counsellors and all our counsellors are trained to at least diploma level in counselling.
